Gary “Griz” Drylie AKA Old Town Griz, a High Desert resident since 1981, ran a competition sled dog team for 15 years over the western United States and Alaska, including his team being the spokesperson for Yukon Gold Bear.  Now retired, Griz enjoys time with his wife and family, building things, and rebuilding vintage cars with friends.  For 45 years, Grizz has been community oriented, from owning businesses to volunteering in church and civic organizations and activities.  Currently, his biggest influence is volunteering as caretaker of the Hesperia Old Town Museum Collection, including writing a book on the history of Hesperia.  The Museum’s collections mission is “Preserving Hesperia’s History Through Education”.

Griz will show the love of working on cars and the group’s camaraderie, starting as two and growing to nine.  The group is diverse in backgrounds and talents, not to mention an age range of 12 to 85.
