Alhamza Hamza is a senior at the Academy for Academic Excellence. He enjoys playing basketball, though not very good at it, men’s fashion, collecting colognes, and learning about perfumery. Alhamza aspires to become a doctor because he values the sentimental value of helping others, the challenges brought on by the scientific miracles, and questions that are present in medicine.
After being inspired by the diagnosis of cancer in two of his family members and a course investigating the rise in chronic illnesses and its correlation to loose U.S. food industry regulations and unhealthy ingredients in people’s everyday diet, he learned the importance of developing healthy diet habits at a young age and how it can help prevent chronic illnesses by a great margin. Alhamza is spreading awareness about choosing a healthy diet and sharing a few small tips on making healthy choices, which can help to prevent future chronic illnesses.
