Joan Rudder-Ward is an award-winning visual media expert with 35+ years experience. Film-making, TV production, photography, and writing are tools she uses to inspire, encourage, and impart vision to others. Her favorite past times include trail stomping, oven alchemy, souvenir hunting, mess-making with a purpose, and playing in dirt.

Since 2002, she has created photography-based empowerment programs that help participants discover their strengths, build their confidence, develop their creativity and learn how to create media that is uplifting to humanity

In 2023, she created the writing and photography-based empowerment project “Let’s Reframe Beauty” to help youth address the negative effects of the unrealistic beauty standards they face on a continual basis through social media.
