Mike Apodaca is an ordained minister with a master’s degree in theology, a retired kindergarten through college public-school educator, president of the High Desert Branch of the California Writer’s Club (HDCWC), and a member of the On-Topic speaker’s bureau. He received the Jack London Award for his dedication to HDCWC. Mike has written ten books, stories in anthologies, and newspaper and magazine articles. Hopefully, everyone will someday put in their last day of work, clean out their desk, and retire. But what will that day mean to you? What will you do now? Mike will give insights on how to retire with purpose and to make retirement a new beginning, not simply an ending. Don’t be willing to be put out to pasture; leave one purposeful life to excel in another. Make a difference as long as you can.
