Paul Durham is a Program Coordinator for Children Deserve Success with San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools (SBCSS), providing services to the 34 school districts and 53 charter schools in San Bernardino County.  Paul has worked for SBCSS for 24 years and works directly with educational professionals, families, students, caregivers, foster parents, and numerous community partners to identify and implement best practices for improving educational outcomes for “at promise” youth. 

In this presentation, Paul will share his passion for supporting foster youth in our schools. His own experiences as a former homeless and foster youth help him connect with youth to mentor them to realize their hopes and dreams.  Paul has firsthand experience to the value of education in breaking cycles of family poverty, abuse, and addiction.
