Making Food Local Again

Roy Granger is a land steward, permaculture designer, farmer, and educator committed to “Making Food Local Again.” His farming journey began in the Colorado Desert in 2020, and he spent the next two years studying regenerative agriculture, working on farms across the country. In 2022, he returned to the High Desert, his home, with a clear vision. Roy purchased 5 acres of degraded land in Helendale and transformed it into Wild Wash Regenerative Ranch, a vibrant desert permaculture project. He now manages two farms. He works with various businesses and in 2024 began supplying produce for Cross Eyed Cow Pizza.

Roy founded Seeds Of Succession, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering local communities through transformative land stewardship practices. Seeds Of Succession aims to reverse desertification and champion food sovereignty in the High Desert.

Roy works to demonstrate that people can and should positively impact nature. His work goes beyond just transforming landscapes; it focuses on health, sustainability, and love for the local community.
